I started with a combination of mood/inspo boards, both from my own work and others. Then onto design boards, style frames & story boards. Which sounds like a lot of extra work but it really is worth it. I’m someone who can get caught up finding the best software/tool/process for things but in the end I used a combination Adobe Bridge & Adobe Photoshop. I also write ideas A LOT, usually before I commit to anything visual. I sketched (something I’ve never done before) on pad too. Before I filmed I also created some rough photographic sketches.
